It became the work I couldn’t walk away from.
After almost 30 years in background screening, I saw what a criminal record does to a survivor. It follows him or her into every job application, every lease, every background check, long after the exploitation ends. A fresh start is next to impossible while the past keeps showing up.
Helping people discover their value, find hope, and believe in their future became more than something I cared about. It became my passion, purpose, and ultimately, my life’s work.
ANEW Life International was built to clear that path: removing records, protecting them from resurfacing, and educating the community so fewer people are exploited in the first place.
