January 8th
SPACE COAST HUMAN TRAFFICKING TASK FORCE
RED SAND EVENT was a HUGE success!
THANK YOU to all who joined us on Thursday, January 8th at Palm Bay City Hall, and heard from our esteemed guest speakers, the Mayor of Palm Bay and Deputy Chief Spears of the PBPD. Everyone participated in the red sand sidewalk installation, signifying that we will do all we can to make sure no survivor falls through the cracks in Brevard County. Task force members were available afterward to meet with attendees and answered questions and provided information about critical resources available in our community.
We were honored at City Council Meeting that evening as Mayor Medina and the Council once again presented ANEW with a proclamation recognizing January as National Human Trafficking Awareness Month and January 11th as National Human Trafficking Awareness Day! (City Council Meetings are recorded, if you happened to miss it, you can still catch the replay!)
This is an annual event, so we'll see you again next year!
